I had been meaning to put this on the blog, but the new Ambassador to the DR from Canada is a man of African Descent (by way of Jamaica). I don't know if it is a first, but I thought it newsworthy and wanted to let everyone know about it.

I couldn't agree with you more!
This country is thirty years behind the states when it comes to integration of the work force.
The darker you are, the poorer!
It's a shame and the Dominicans claim they don't have prejudices.
