Do I Miss NYC?

Every once in awhile someone will ask me if I miss NYC. Most of the time my answer is no. But there are things that I do miss like the Sunday Times, S.O.B.'s, walking on 125th street, going to dinner with friends, etc. (Oh yeah, and electricity!)

Well, the past couple of nights I really missed the happenings in NYC.

On Tuesday night, Scott Poulson-Bryant had his book party at Sky Studios, this $21 million ultra luxury duplex in Manhattan (complete with swimming pool). Sponsored by "The House of Courvoisier." A couple friends of mine went, and called me from the party to tell me how fffffaaaaabbbbbuuuuulllllllloooooouuuuusssss the place is. Oh yeah, they had the Courvoisier flowing all night, which doesn't hurt, and there were a few celebrities there. But, the purpose of the party was to have the official launch of Scott's new book, HUNG. From all the buzz, I hear it is very good, and a topic I care deeply about. For those who ask what they can bring me, I'll take a copy of Scott's new book (if you can get is signed, that's gravy!). Click here to see some photos of the party.

Also, there was a party for the opening of the new Carol's Daughter store in Harlem. Beyonce, Jay-Z, Jada Pinkett-Smith, Tommy Mottola and Thalia, among others was there. But the one I would really want to talk to is Andre Leon Talley. I just love me some Andre. Click here for some photos.

Okay, okay, there ARE times when I miss being in NYC. And don't forget, if you want to bring me something down, bring a copy of Scott's book, or some lotion from Carol's Daughter.

Now, it is back to work for me!
