Hard Rock Cafe is now OPEN!

Posted by Picasa
I know some people will not be happy about the Hard Rock Cafe opening, but it was inevitable. The staff from many of their restaurants from around the world have been staying at the Caribe Colonial and gave me an idea of the DRama going on. Well, it's open, and I for one will go in and get me a decent hamburger. It is very nice inside and the prices are reasonable. Certainly in range with the 2 other outdoor cafes in front of the church.

I really wish that I could find the words to express what I think about some of M. S's comments. I know already no one gives a rats ass about what I think especially since I don't identify myself. But for the life of me I can't understand what cheese has to do with anything. If M.S. would at least stay on the topic at hand without making some totally ridiculous comment, then maybe I could at least make some sense of what he's trying to say. Anthony M.S. is all ways giving you advise about what you should feel about things; why don't you be a real friend to him and tell him the truth about most of his off the wall comments. I assume that you must like him a lot not to have spoken to him about this by now.

YES GOD!!!! I'm glad to have another option. Not being able to find a good burger in Santo Domingo has been a pet peave of mine.

And as for the cheese Mario, I know what you mean. That stuff you get on most sandwiches in the DR isn't quite right. LOL

Come on and get over it. This is a blog. If you do not like someone's comment, ignore it or don't return to the blog. Why all of this hostility and ugliness?

OMG, You’re in foreign country! It’s not about the hamburger. I just don’t understand every time Americans are out of the country, It has to be twick so every one can feel at home like the US. The HRC hamburger's is nothing to write home about. It's not going to be any better since it’s from the HRC. I had a chesses burger in Hong Kong HRC. It was the worst burger I ever had.
I like to find the best Hamburger around. I recall my best Hamburger ever to this day was in St. Croix USVI and PR. So until I taste HRC burger in DR, we will see but i sure would not put any money on it. If it’s anything like Hong Kong. I don’t think so !

FYI: Want a quick snack in the Dominican Republic? Go to your neighborhood colmado, or convenience store, where cheese is choice.

The proprietor will slice off and cube chunks of cheese. This tasty, nutritious snack is a Dominican favorite and part of a growing consumer trend to choose cheese.

Citizens of the Dominican Republic like cheese so much that domestic dairies cannot meet the entire demand. Moreover, food safety concerns about domestic production have caused a clamor for imported products.

Well said Mario. I don't even know you but I am tired of all of these remarks some people make. You don't deserve the rudeness. Anthony works hard to keep us informed. My question is...are there that many rude mean people reading this blog or is there just one or two who make lots of comments about other people. Maybe Anonymous comment should be eliminated.

To Mario, you take offense when someone comments on your silly ass statements. However, in your reply, you mention Dr Leon. Could you please tell me what he has done to you? You personally. Not Anthony, not what you have heard. But what has he done to YOU. Having met both him and
Anthony, I beleive that one day that they will resolve their differences. Where will that leave you. Hmmmn.

It seems some biatches feel the need to turn EVERYTHING into a reading session. Anthony posts about the opening of the Hard Rock Cafe and shit starts flying. We're not walking balls anymore, darlings. Dust your "BUTCH-QUEEN-VOUGING-LIKE-A-FEM" trophy off, and then try to act your age!

I understand that some of you have a problem with Mario Sessions, but I don´t understand the need to air those grievances here.

Oh well.

As for the hamburgers and cheese. The cheese is just something that is different in this country, at least most of the cheese you find served in most Dominican restaurants. Because I live here, AND I´m an American, I get a hankering for those tastes of home.

Anyway, those who want to can patronize the Hard Rock Cafe, those that don´t like it won´t.

Isn´t that how it should be? People making their own decisions, that´s what I like.

Okay, I´m done ...

My complaints with American companies opening in other countries is that many spoil the local arquitecture with their outlandish signs. This HRC seems to have taken into consideration the local surroundings and its entrance is in agreement with the other buildings in the Colonial Zone. However, I will decide for myself when I go there!
