Baron Alfonso Madera Torres

A few years before moving to the Dominican Republic I decided I wanted to give a party the next time I came. I found a place in the colonial zone, the Red Zone. After securing the club I needed to get some entertainment together. Because I was still living in the states at the time I needed some help. I don't know by whom, but I was introduced to Baron Alfonso Madera Torres. He was the manager for some strippers and he knew everyone in the gay scene. One of the people I hired for that party was his partner, Rigoberto.

After moving to the Dominican Republic, I came to get to know Baron and Rigoberto very well. He and Rigo were together for 15 years. All of Baron's family lives in the states so Rigo was not only his partner, but his absolute everything.

Baron died of a heart attack on Wednesday. He had just celebrated his birthday last Monday. He was 43.

R.I.P. Baronessa.

I knew Baron and Rigo from the times of the old Penthouse Club in Villa Agricola. Baron was very heavy and that might have been a factor in his early death. Rigo, on the other hand, had a fabulous body. One time, at the Penthouse, they rigged up a glass partition and Rigo was showering inside completely nude. You could only see him from the back, but him soaping himself up was a sight I will always remember! RIP, Baron.

I send my condolences. I never knew him, but saw him on many trips. I knew that he had the strippers on lock, but I am shocked to hear about Rigo, who I do know. Wow, OK now that is news! I am also sorry to see anybody die, RIP. One more thing, is that picture of the corpse really necessary? Kind of morbid no?

I don't find the photo morbid. That is why I put it there. He was beautiful in life and beautiful in death.
