Model

Ford Modeling Agency had their annual contest in the Dominican Republic, which has seen a swell of Dominican girls on the international runways. The winner was 12 year-old Giselle Marte, who according to Dominican Fashion Models, is one of the youngest contestants to ever win a modeling competition.

12- that is ridiculous. Let these girls mature mentally b4 you send them into an industry that does not promote eomotional and mental security. 18 is a good age to start modeling.

I must agree with the first statement.A 12 years old is a very young tender age to get into the modeling business. After saying that, you hear many negative things about what happen to these girls when exposed to the modeling business. The durgs, the drinking and so on so forth, so I would be causious about allowing a young girl to get into this life before having a strong basic sound foundation of lifes and it's challenges.Just my views for what there worth.

Yeh, 12 is a bit young.

To steal a phrase from AbFab; "Soon they'll be chucking fetuses down the runway!"

That's just the biz baby. The only good to come from this, is that she is destined for super stardom. All the greats were snatched up as babies. Naomi was 16 and Kate was 13 so lets wish for all the best for this lovely Dominican baby.
