Hey Anthony, Hope all is well. I don't think that you will see Leon anytime soon. I would assume that they have revoked his passport and that part of his probation is that he is not allowed to leave the U.S. Peace, Scott~
Hey Anthony, it's Brian (of Frank and Brian). I agree with the last post that you won't see Leon anytime soon. Usually, one must serve a three year period of supervised released after serving federal time. This includes in-person visits with a federal probation officer, which is usually monthly or even more frequently. If you see him in the DR, I would be very suspect (unless he comes and goes frequently in time to get back to his probation officer, but that would be impractical/expensive, etc), and often, international travel is restricted or prohibited. So if you see him, I would follow up with the Federal Probation Office to report his presence outside the US. Take care, Brian
It is possible that someone released with supervised probation can get their passport back and can do overseas travel. It depends on whether the judge restricted overseas travel or not.
Yes if he leaves the state or federal juridiction he will not only violate his parole but will be returned to prison to serve out his full term. Instead of using the $25,000 on the boys why doesn't someone think about donating the reward to the AIDS Orphange in Santo Domingo called La Casa Rosada. That would be a much better use of the money while getting rid of Dr. Leon for a LONG TIME!
I thought that Leon was old news. I can only wish him the best of luck. Can we try to keep on the positive side of life. As gay men in gerneral and black gay men in particular, must always we tear each other down? I know that this may not sit well with many of your readers. But que sera, sera. Some of us must put others down to feel better about ourselves. Leon if you are reading this, welcome home and best of luck in your future endeavors.
LOL @ forgiveness Now we have a preacher queen among us. I love it.................. a bible carrying queen running the streets of sto domingo! preach on sister
Strange no one has there profile pic up on here I don't care let me see her in the DR I will be the first to call. Remember she's on probation it takes one call to the police if she looks at you the wrong way.
No matter whether you liked him or not, Bar Friends was operated like a business when Leon was there. It was reliable, clean and the begging was kept under control. That cant be said now.
Has anyone actually seen the full judgement and restrictions from the judge? If not, no one can truly know if he actually restricted foreign travel during his probation period.
You don't have to be a regular watcher of Law & Order to know that the likelihood of not getting a passport to travel to a country that you escaped to -- after being convicted of the Federal crimes of committing bank fraud and stealing social security numbers -- is not too far fetched.
I bet having the FBI retrieve him from the Dominican Republic would not work in his favor either.
It's public information at the Federal Courthouse in Philly. Lets see... give information on the inmate: Name: LEON LAND, Register No#.: 76898-004, age: 40, Race: Black, Sex: Yes, on my back, RELEASE Date: 05-14-2008, Pay $25.00 research fee, Wait 10-20 mins. And you will have all the info you want or ever need in the case, the judgement and restrictions and probation of inmate Land.
Having Dr. Leon back will add several more volumes to the book(s) that Anthony Montgomery is going to write for us someday. Hell Anthony, just buy a few diaries and then get them published! You will be the Black Amistead Maupin from the Carribean!

Philadelphia, PA 19106
(215) 597-7950
and get a Reward up to 25,000, you know how many boys you buy with that hmmm. I'm going to install a webcam at the airport too.

Isn't modern technology amazing... So, the bitch will be back. Great! Let the games begin, it was getting much too boring around here!

Let that old queen live. She did the crime and did her time! And actually not that much time considering the crime.
$25,000 reward?
I hope I don't see him while I am sitting at Pacos.
hmmmm thinking to myself...should it kidnap this gurl, bring her to the DR and collect the money!

Too bad you all don't read passages in the bible about forgiveness. What did Leon do to any of you?
all the money you spend on the boys would buy food for a year at the orphange so do it

I was just thinking...Now DOC Leon really can call himself DOC...Department of Corrections...He has hed those letters on his back for a year now! LOL
Strange no one has there profile pic up on here I don't care let me see her in the DR I will be the first to call. Remember she's on probation it takes one call to the police if she looks at you the wrong way.

Even if he could travel, who sya the DR would let him in?
All this talk about Leon returning to DR assumes that...She still got money around!
You are rigth about the DR letting him in but... What if he uses another name and Passport. We all know he has history using other names.
