Anthony, I blogged yesterday about the "pretty invitation to nowhere and nothing" that we received. I give them props, though, for putting both our names on the envelope. Somebody, or a computer database, is on point!

did leonelito cancel his trip to the inauguration because he received one of these instead of the real thing from obama? i guess standing out in the cold at all those public events wasnt going to be too cute for the sequito lolz

Yes, million of people received the beautiful commemorative invite, including myself. Here in dc it has created minor confusion for some believing that this will admit them into the ticketed area of the swearing in on the mall , or an official ball. It will do neither....

I will however save it along with my other Obama collectables because it is very nice.....

LOL. I remember when I got mine and said...big ups to Charlie Rangel... he came through. NOT! It was a brilliant promotion to sell plates and shit. Oh well, if I can't go to one of the big balls I will watch it with pride on TV.

One of the best things one can do to celebrate, if you haven't already done it, is read "Dreams From My Father." What a beautiful story, and what an inspiration to think that one of our presidents can write so well!

By the way Anthony, the characters I have to type to send this comment are 'holaring." So, Ant, I'm giving you a big "Hola" ring (LOL).
