If you are worried about people kissing in the bar why not simply ask those people to leave, gay or straight. Also, even though he attempted to explain his policy against gays, he never stated the reason blacks are not allowed entry. Wassup with that?
There are plenty of other places to go especially on Ave. Venezuela where they do welcome blacks, gays, and their money. Plus, Naco is not on my regular routes in the DR.
At least it is out in the open. The comments on the site you reference is worse than the managers comments. Remember Liquid? They had that policy and they can't give the club away anymore. Oh well.
This is another reason why black and gay business owners should work together but that is a dream too.
I hope the place goes out of business soon. They sound uppity and ignorant.........no one peso for me.....they probably have over priced drinks anyway!!!
I wonder how they can tell you are gay before they admit you. It would be easy to infiltrate their inner sanctum..but who would want to be with people who think like that.
What the problem is that Dominicans (Not all, just some) fail to realize they are just BLACKS that speak another language, just like Jamaicans, Haitans, and so on. They are no different.
Ok luv the info but this blog has got a little dark, racial and sexual discrimination, murder, disease outbreaks, more murder. Should I travel there or stay in Chicago
To Sat Jul 10, 03:29:00pm Read any local newspaper or watch any local newscast in the USA and you will read or see the very same things, and to think that you say that you are from Chicago. Is this blog your only way of getting information about what's happening in the REAL world. Silly queen.
01:23:00 - Why must we keep insulting other posters on Anthony's blog? Have you ever seen Anthony insult anybody? Or is "Silly Queen" your own signature?
As someone who vacations and has friends in the Dominican Republic, I like to know what's going on, both good and bad. This way I can avoid problem places like this discriminatory bar.
Anthony is good enough to expend his time and effort to provide information about what's going on the DR freely. I, for one, appreciate that. Trade is trade, honey! Nice eye-candy that we all enjoy looking at and, when we get lucky, play with, but, something substantive every now and again ain't a bad thing.
Let's be real folks, the owner is talking about Haitians and screaming queens. Honestly you can't tell all Haitians by skin color; however, majority of the mestizo folks in the island of Hispaniola are in Republica Dominicana. As far as gays, you can't tell who's gay, but you can assume one is gay if he's effeminate.

Good for them. If you don't stand for something you will fall for anything.
Good for them? You must not be gay or black.
I'm both.

Jajajajajaja.
Translation for comment above:
Hahahahahaha. But what in this country who is not black or has the "black behind the ear?
I'm not black but I am gay and I find abhorrent in this country is still "respect" these kinds of discriminatory policies ...
How long ...?
This and more is the Dominican Republic.
PS: I apologize for having not written in English. I'm not too good at writing in that language.
sadly, not the only place that discriminates at the door in santo domingo. least they have the balls to say it up front. saves me the time and effort.
on the positive side, stopped by kronos when i was in town last month. great club, well worth the taxi ride outside the zone.
as always, thanks for the updates senor anthony.
the owner said.. we reserve the right to admission. however we all know what this is all about. seems pretty obvious its racism and discrimination

Hhhaha...if you have lived in Chicago and survived, you should be able to spend a few days in SD. There's all that and more to deal with in Chicago!

Yes Anthony these last few postings have been a bit dark. Lets bring back he levity and some hot Dominicano trade!
01:23:00 - Why must we keep insulting other posters on Anthony's blog? Have you ever seen Anthony insult anybody? Or is "Silly Queen" your own signature?
From someone looking from the outside, I can't tell who is NOT Black in the Dominican Republic.
I think the club owner means darker skin, as if different shades of coffee matters that much in life.
As someone who vacations and has friends in the Dominican Republic, I like to know what's going on, both good and bad.

I could not be bothered with this place anyway. They don't even know how to spell "PRESENTA".
I would answer the owner's reasoning very simply; I'd burn down the mo fo!
