36 Hours in Santo Domingo

Nice article in the New York Times about the writer spending 36 hours in Santo Domingo.

Anthony, Thanks for this link. I love reading other persons' slants on what's what in the DR.

Not a propos this post, but where is Byron???? "Byron Says" hasn't said anything since July, and even those latter posts didn't contain much insight into his DR life. Is he still around? And what about his new DR family? I hope all is going well with him.

Nice write up. I remember eating at the same restaurant the time I visited the D.R.

I have to return there soon.

I have nothing nice to say about Byron. I will leave it at that.

Byron left the DR after raking up a tremendous amount of debt all over the place! He owes a lot of people a lot of money including a few ex-landlords. I could go on, but I'd need to be provoked! I speak for many when I say Good Riddance to Bad Rubbish. I'm sure he wont go back to the DR. He's burned too many bridges to ever go back.

Oh Dear!!!
Sounds like more DR..ama!
In any event, I hope whatever it is, it didn't affect you personally in a negative way, Anthony. Folks may come and go across the DR panorama, but you, Ant, are the proverbial Eveready Bunny. Thanks for your terrific blog.
