Interesting weekend. Many tourists here visiting. But something was missing. Can't place my finger on it. I just didn't have the spirit this year. I didn't go to the military parade last Friday. I went to the carnaval parade on Sunday, but it was marred when this kid tried to snatch the camera of someone I was with. Thankfully, he was not able to get it, but almost. My friend fell while giving chase to the thief and scraped his elbow and ruined his white shorts. After that, it was over for me. I was ready to go (and so was he). Unfortunately, because he was there with a really nice camera with a great zoom, I let him take most of the photos. Hopefully I will be able to get copies.
